Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso with Red Lacquered Dial fetches record price
Jaeger-LeCoultre watches hit record costs at Antiquorum closeout in Geneva, that was held a week ago. One that especially stimulated us, is the hardened steel Reverso with red finish dial. It was sold for CHF 50,000 !!
This Reverso with red lacquered dial is the archetype of this years JLC curiosity, the new Grande Reverso Tribute to 1931 Rouge . A year ago the French sales management firm Artcurial sold a Reverso with red lacquered dial for € 28,000 Euro and another was sold for CHF 35,000 in May a year ago by Antoquorum.
It seems as though vintage models of the JLC Reverso are truly acquiring worth and I’m inquisitive whether this ascent is enduring. Obviously vintage Rolex Sports models and Patek Philippe complicated watches are a slam dunk at bringing extraordinary significant expenses. This appears to be very confined to these brands, similar to a similar Antiquorum sell off in Geneva proved.
At that equivalent sale different vintage Audemars Piguet Royal Oak models didn’t beat the record value Alain Delon’s vintage Royal Oak ref. 5402 brought. Numerous gatherers had expected that the uncommon A-arrangement would be sold at a record costs and they trusted other vintage Royal Oaks to get excessive costs. Perhaps the costs weren’t that high, they were still generally excellent, considering the publicity around this model is moderately youthful. At In2watches you can check most prices.
Over the following not many years we will learn if more brands join Rolex and Patek Philippe as record setting watch marks and even extraordinary ventures. Until than it remains speculating and trusting, albeit the costs that the vintage Reverso’s with a red lacquered dial brought at late sales is as of now high and still climbing.
