Goodbye Sarkozy, welcome Hollande
Nicolas Sarkozy is a man of style. He dresses well and he even has a pleasant watch collection. This wouldn’t be a subject on Monochrome, in the event that it wasn’t for the photograph showing Francois Hollande, the new French president, looking at his watch and really gazing at the catch!
Let’s first glance at some photographs showing the watches of the withdrawing French president. There’s a Patek Philippe, a Breitling, an old Rolex Oyster Perpetual (Date or Datejust), a Rolex Daytona white dial and one with a dark dial.
The photograph above shows a typical propelled or even emotional method of speeching. Not that I’m a specialist in this field, but rather it appears to be the mark way of speeching for generally French and Italian politicians.
The following photograph shows Sarkozy with a Rolex Oyster Perpetual on a celebration wristband. From this little photograph I cannot determine whether it’s an Oyster Perpetual Date or an Oyster Perpetual Datejust.
Not sure who he is motioning to call. However deciding from the ear-to-ear grin it’s undoubtedly an attractive woman, so we surmise he flags Carla Bruni, his dazzling spouse, to call him.
Talking about miss Sarkozy, or Carla Bruni, it was she who gave Sarkozy an exceptionally decent president-wrothy watch. In 2008 she gave him a Patek Philippe ref. 3940G.
The Patek Philippe ref. 3940G has a round white gold instance of 35 mm in measurement. It highlights a perpetual schedule and moon stage sign. The Patek Philippe reference 3940 ceaseless schedule was produced from 1985 to 2006. Since the French news site Le Express states that Carla purchased the watch in 2008, possibly she purchased a utilized version?
The schedule capacities are introduced in an ideal adjusted manner. That’s one of the things that makes this reference so attractive and also the fact the case quantifies under 9 mm in stature. Add to that the exquisite dauphine hands, the silver dial with applied hour markers and a calatrava-like round case coming about in a ideal illustration of an exemplary never-ending calendar.
The terrible photograph above doesn’t show a lot of subtleties of the wonderful Patek Philippe ref. 3940G. However, you can confide in me that it has a perfect development, being type 240 Q (represent quantieme) with 27 gems, 48 hour power save and with the Geneva Seal.
I found another photograph of Sarkozy with a Breitling Navitimer on the wrist, however let’s take a gander at the accompanying photograph showing Sarkozy bidding farewell with a Rolex Daytona with a white dial on his wrist. Bye Mr Sarkozy….
And this is the thing that the following leader of France looks like… Let’s justy trust he’s better in legislative issues and driving a country through troublesome occasions, than he is in telling the time. This photograph doesn’t give a dependable feeling….
