A.Lange & Söhne – Lange Zeitwerk
Once a year Lange und Söhne and a LOG part have a supper for various watch authorities and enthusiasts. Half a month prior I was welcomed for this supper and got the opportunity to see the Zeitwerk, Pour Le Merite Tourbillon and Double Split in the metal.
LOG represents Lange Owners Group. The name doesn’t leave a lot to clarify. When a year A.Lange und Söhne asks a few LOG individuals, territorially spread everywhere on the world, to have a supper for their companions and watch pals. A delegate of Lange und Söhne joins the supper and brings the most up to date watches. An incredible open door for watch authorities and devotees to see and feel watches like the Lange Zeitwerk , Datograph Perpetual, Richard Lange ‘Pour le Mérite’ and the Tourbograph ‘Pour le Mérite’ and numerous more.
The entire night was coordinated at café Vermeer , directly across Central Station in Amsterdam. After a warm welcome by the host and mr. Schindler of Lange & Söhne it was the ideal opportunity for a beverage and a couple of little bites. It’s consistently a delight to meet individual watch fans. This pastime by one way or another can’t be talked about with the family or dear companions, so that’s why these sort of gatherings feel like such a homecoming. Imparting the energy for watches to individual watch monstrosities 🙂
Although the food and wines where totally astounding, i’m apprehensive a large portion of my consideration went to the remarkable number of great and wonderful timepieces… 3 x Pour le Mérite, 2 x Lange Zeitwerk, Cabaret Tourbillon, 2 x Datograph, Dato ceaseless, a few variants of the Lange 1 and more… an excellent Speedmaster, a Jaeger Compressor, an old and extremely delightful little Patek, a Patek Nautilus and the one watch I couldn’t imagine anything better than to claim close to my Sarpaneva Korona K1 … a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712 with date and force reserve…. drop dead gorgeous.
However of these great watches the Lange Zeitwerk was standing out enough to be noticed. There are two dials to pick from… no issue, we have two arms 🙂
The quick changing of the two minutes and hour plates is astonishing. Investigate the A.Lange & Söhne site to peruse more about the specialized angles. For the present only a couple more photographs of this beauty…
And a development that makes each watch crack happy….
And at long last one that stunned me… the Lange Cabaret Tourbillon was far better than I could imagine.
All photographs are from Oliver and Edwin, the host of the night. Much obliged to you guys.
